Communications Director

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Promote and design Village Playhouse website and manage communications through various forms of media like Facebook, Google+, and Twitter. 
Under the supervision of the President, the Communications Director is responsible for assisting the Board of Directors with developing and building a robust presence the community via the internet. This will include building relationships with local businesses, assisting with their advertisements by designing and/or assisting with the designs, creating a strong social networking presence, management and development of the website, creating a database to house and maintain advertising information, and developing a new costs structure and business case for the playbill. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

Demonstration of prior experience in sales, advertising, communications and/or public relations.  
Passion for being online and promoting events via various forms of media like Facebook, Google+, and Twitter.
Experience in website administration and content development.
Detail oriented, with proven time management and organization skills (including the ability to engage in multiple tasks and meet deadlines/standards) 
Comfortable with raising questions, issues, ideas or suggestions 
Act with a sense of urgency to research questions or issues; identify the right parties or resources to resolve these issues; follow up with these parties to drive resolution and provide feedback to individual(s) who raised the question or issue 
Individual thinker with the ability to identify and drive solutions 
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written 
Development & working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel , Facebook, and internet websites

The Footlight Players

We welcome volunteers of all ages and from all backgrounds!  Experience hands-on training by working on set constructions and prop building, learning the technical skills of running lights and sound, stage managing, crewing, or how to sell tickets in the box office.  We also need help costuming shows and organizing the costume shop.  College and high school students can gain valuable experience for their resumes or college applications through active participation in Footlight Players productions.  Very flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Midtown/Sheri Grace Productions

The Charleston Acting Studio needs interns and volunteers for:

PURE Theatre

We are looking for volunteer street team to distribute market materials, and volunteer bartenders. Both awards them a free ticket to the show they are work for. Robert Ivey Ballet

We use volunteers for our costume department for our four performance series.  We also use volunteers for our box office and ushers.  Volunteers are always welcome and we appreciate anyone who is willing to be a part of our organization. 

South of Broadway Theatre Company

 South of Broadway values the partners who donate their time and talents to further the mission of SOB.  Volunteers are essential to the purpose and programming of SOB.  We convey respect for those who partner with by:
