Synopsis:
Wilson's electrifying play shows the tension that erupts when people from very different worlds collide. Set in the bohemian art world of downtown New York, this vivid and challenging drama explores the spiritual and emotional isolation of Anna and Pale, two outcasts who meet in the wake of the accidental death by drowning of their roomate/brother: Robbie. This is a comedy that laughs at its own tragic roots, a love story in which the lovers are scared of one another, and a play about art in which the strongest sensibility belongs to a character who looks upon artists as frauds.

It takes us through the Word of God in its entirety in about 90 minutes with lots of humor. The slapstick will fly, and audiences will be rolling in the aisles laughing. Not even the most somber of theatre goers will be able to keep a straight face during this romp through old time religion.

Broadway's greatest farce is fast-paced, witty, irreverent and one of the funniest musicals ever written. Situations from the time-tested, 2000 year-old comedies of Roman playwright Plautis are combined with the infectious energy of classic vaudeville. The result is a non-stop laugh-fest in which Pseudolus, a crafty slave, struggles to win the hand of the beautiful but slow-witted courtesan, Philia, for his young master in exchange for his freedom.
